HyperCell_so_far (Processing)

HyperCell is a bio-inspired morphogenetic architectural component 
( based on evo-devo )
which adapt with users and environment.
The ideas is to use these as a mixture of 
furniture, architectural elements for
the re-use of existing building. 

Same logic and ideas with previous HyperCell.
Instead of using grasshopper, this time, 
trying to develop in processing.
For real-time adaptive simulation, 
it's faster in processing.
Swarm, as a human agent in this case, 
influence the HyperCell components 
for an emergent effect.

HyperCell 是一啟發於生物形變的建築元件
(基於演化發育生物學)
其將適應於使用者與環境.
此建築元件的開發將被視為家具與建築單元的混合體
應用於在利用之建築物中

基本的邏輯與想法皆與 HyperCell相同.
這次嘗試使用Processing去做模擬取代grasshopper.
為達即時性之目的
Processing之運算仍快於Grasshopper

簇群(Swarm)在此模擬中 被視為空間中的人體
將與空間中的HyperCell進行互動而產生所謂
湧現(emergent)的效果

First starting with one cell:
The difficult part is to make "mirror by line" function in processing
Need a lot of calculation of vectors.
首先 先建構單一細胞
最難的部分在於建構"鏡射於軸線"之功能
需透過繁複的向量計算


Second, put them into series:
在建構串組


Playing with the color and size:
試試色彩與大小變化


We can see the section are basically same element but with mirror function.
從剖面來看 可以知道這些單元皆相同並以鏡射方式組合


The swarm come in at this moment which can be predict 
where the agent comes from.
簇群在此時進入
並可預測其接近之方向


Put the adds-on component as limbs.
在主體上連接單元如同肢體


Put them into an array to see the result:
Becoming like a landscape space.
將其放置於一陣列組
形成地景形式的空間


There can also be some possibility to apply them 
into a facade, opening & porous system.
或許也可發展成可應用於立面的氣孔立面


Will develop it further.
Probably next step will connect with the Kinect for studying
Interaction Gesture Design Control

會再將繼續研究下去
或許會連接於Kinect
針對互動操控進行實驗
