HyperCell_Furniture



This phase of the research focuses on the universal application of 
furniture pieces for different spatial needs.
The basic logic is still stay the same as usual, but try to explore 
the possibilities for practical usage.
 The logic was interpreted as a 
Logic-DNA and Dimension-DNA in this research.
這階段的研究著重在如何將HyperCell應用於家具設計以符合空間需求
基本上的邏輯是相同的旦希望更能實際的應用
邏輯在這邊被詮釋為
邏輯DNA跟尺度DNA
(Logic-DNA and Dimension-DNA)


The L-DNA(Logic DNA) follows a "True and False" regulation 
of the combination between each components.
The diagrams above try to explain how this Logic works.
Diagram B is a normal Mirror transformation stated as "True."
Diagram C is another way of Mirror transformation state as "False."
With these True and False to create diverse forms composed by HyperCell.

邏輯DNA根據"True and False"的規則而形成每個單元
上面的圖說試圖解釋這個邏輯是如何操作的
B圖說明正常的鏡射 在此被代為 True.
C圖則是另一種鏡射 在此被代為 False
而也就是運用兩個邏輯而產生多樣化造型的HyperCell.

This simple regulation of True and False sets up 
the basic formation of the HyperCell component 
similar to the gene regulation process of living creatures, 
which defines their body parts.

這個簡單的T&F規則建構了基本的HyperCell Component
如同基因規則建構生物的身體部位


Dimension-DNA is indicate the basic dimension of each singular cubic shape.
This D-Logic(Dimension Logic) defines the size of the component.
D-DNA defines the basic geometry to build up the overall furniture shape bottom-up, 
and the L-DNA defines the True and False mirror function between each cells' connections.

尺度DNA 指涉著單一方塊型單元的尺度
也就是component的尺寸.

尺度DNA定義尺度 邏輯DNA定義邏輯
透過這兩者的關係
由下而上的建構出家具整體的造型


Apart from applying principles of cellular differentiation the idea 
that all species share the same gene tool-kit, 
involving simple operations to produce complex outcomes 
and attain morphological variation 
via simple switch and trigger mechanisms 
are perfectly experimented with in the research. 
Although all cells (HyperCells) share the same degree of freedom (D-DNA), 
but with different amount (number) and geometric regulations (L-DNA), 
they create various functional furniture formations to fulfill different 
spatial and usage based topological requirements.

從生物學我們得知
所有的生物都是由相同的基因工具組所組成.
他們經由簡單的驅動而產生多樣生物類別基於
簡易的開關機制
恰恰與本研究的實驗相符.
即使所有的細胞(HyperCell)共享著相同的尺度變化依據(D-DNA),
但是基於數量以及幾何的規則(L-DNA), 將可創造出

多樣的家具單元以符合基本的空間與使用型態

These are just some pre-set of the furniture pieces.
The interesting part of these research is that it gives the Morphing possibility 

from one object to another which is not exist in nature.
The other interesting part is the designers or the users can create 

their own object which is the "EVOLUTION" step in our case.

這些都是一些預設的設定所產出的家具.
本研究有趣的地方更在於它提供了形變的可能性
使得一個物件可轉型為另一個物件
另一個有趣的地方在於
設計師與使用者可以自行探索
其所需要的型態 
而在本實驗中視其為一種"演化"的可能性

Here is the Pre-Set Catalog showing how many species that can be used now.
It also label the "D-DNA", "L-DNA", and "3D simulation" in the catalog.
Mostly it provides any furniture that you can imagine.
The next step will be describing how to apply these furniture together for the spatial needs.
